Jeff D Tunnel Hill , GA September 02, 2014 Appliance: Model NES7200TW Had to replace thermistor Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel. Lay control panel across top of dryer carefully so that it will be out of the way. Next remove the screws that hold the front panel in place. You will see them after removing the control panel. Once these screws are removed, the control panel will lean outward but will not fall. You will have to unplug the sensor for the door lock. Once this is unplugged, pick up on the front panel to remove it off the hinges on the bottom of the front panel. You will now see the panel that covers the blower fan. Remove the three screws and remove this panel. If there is lint built up in this section, you will need to remove it (vacuum cleaner works good). To the right side of this section, there is a plastic tube that sends the lint out the back of the dryer vent. In the elbow of this plastic tube is the thermistor. It has a electrical connect and is held in place by two screws. Carefully unplug the connector and remove the two screws. Replace with new thermistor by attaching with the two screws and reconnect the electrical connector. Reattached the front plate with the three screws over the blower fan. (Make sure lint has been removed so air flow will not be restricted. Reattach front panel by positioning panel on lower hinges and reattach the electrical connector for door lock. Secure front panel with screws across top of panel. Reattach control panel by replacing screws across the top holes of control panel. Reinstall top panel and replacing the two screws in the back. Turn on power. Reset code "ts" on display by going into service mode. Press the Chime and Temperature keys for about 3 seconds or until you hear 3 beeps. Access the diagnostic codes by pressing the wrinkle prevent key. A "D" will be displayed. Press sensor dry and time keys for about 3 seconds to clear the code. Power off dryer to exit the service mode. Power on the dryer. Should be no error code. Eric S Baltimore , MD June 24, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Gas Dryer MDG6700AWW I was getting a ts error code immediately after the dryer would try to run after researching the issue i found that the thermistor was bad on my maytag neptune dryer I had to take apart the dryer panels to access the inside bottom front of the dryer to get to the thermistor.
