Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Auger Drive Coupler
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR02X11534

Ice won't dispense or drive spins freely? This auger drive coupler connects the motor to the ice bucket. Moderately difficult repair with basic tools.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Driver auger was spinning freely on motor shaft (threads were stripped)   John K. • Tucson , AZ • November 28, 2016

The auger in ice bucket was frozen and locked in place (some how liquid water must have spilled inside and froze the shaft and bushing). When the motor was activated to deliver ice, the jam caused the motor shaft to strip the threads. With the threads stripped, there is no way (that I could find) to get the drive auger off of the shaft (btw, it is left-hand threaded). Apparently the Drive Auger is made of stainless steel - a harder metal then the motor shaft. To repair it, I removed the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The cover crusher on my ge ice maker bucket shattered it hasn't been working well since we originally got the refrigerator sometimes we had to scoop ice out rather than get it through the door   William H. • Cary , NC • August 15, 2015

I looked for a site that sold replacement parts for my make of GE refrigerator. I found AppliancePartsPros, and was very surprised at how organized it was. By entering the model number of my refrigerator, I was shown a set of (approximately) 8 general parts diagrams for my refrigerator. I chose the ice making/dispensing diagram. I matched the part that shattered (from use) to what was on the diagram. What I didn't know was how to install the part. I saw references by other customer comments to... Read more

This white toe kick plate covers the bottom front of your refrigerator, concealing the condenser coils and providing a finished appearance. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ge side by side psc25 series ff section was not cooling well (42 degrees best it could do)   Robert B. • Morgantown , WV • October 19, 2014

Common theme on the blogs was thermistors and or defrost heater/thermostat. Ran self-diagnostics which turned on defrost heater which was fine. All five thermistors indicated ok on diagnostic also, but I read more than one time "replace the thermistors no matter what if your FF section isn't cooling". So I ordered all five thermistors and defrost limiter thermostat. Received all in 48 hours (great shipping service), took me about three hours to replace all thermistors and thermostat just as... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The ice maker did not crush ice   Joy U. • Galveston , TX • October 02, 2016

When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. Two months later, ice maker would not forward any ice though the bin was full. We emptied the bin sand have ordered a new part or two in hopes that they will... Read more
