This foam gasket seals a refrigerator fresh-food (upper) door to help maintain proper cold temperatures and reduce energy loss. Replaces a worn or damaged door foam to improve seal integrity and help keep food fresher. What it does:

Forms a cushioning seal between the fresh-food door and cabinet to prevent air leaks
Helps maintain consistent internal temperatures and reduces frost buildup risk
Reduces strain on the compressor by improving insulation
Common symptom: visible gaps, flattened foam, or cold air loss around the fresh-food door edge

One fresh-food door foam gasket (assembly)

Install notes:

Designed to fit the fresh-food (upper) door of compatible French-door refrigerators; ensure correct part number before ordering
Remove refrigerator power or unplug before attempting any repairs
Gently remove the old foam and press the new foam into the door channel; avoid sharp tools that can damage the door finish or gasket
If adhesive or fasteners are used, follow OEM instructions and allow any adhesive to cure fully before closing the door

One of the plastic drawer slide pans was cracked. I ordered the correct part and used the existing screws to replace it. Only weird part was that the screws were not flat heads or philips, it was a weird star shape. Luckily I had a star bit in my tool box. Replacement took about 4 minutes. Read more
