This is the main control printed board assembly (PBA) for select GE refrigerators. It regulates dispenser, defrost and compressor functions so the appliance operates according to user inputs and internal sensors. What it does:

Replaces the refrigerator's primary electronic control that manages temperature, defrost cycles and user-interface requests
Restores control-board functions that can cause display errors, unresponsive controls, or intermittent cooling when the board fails

I replaced the back cover because it was broken because the ice split the Styrofoam ducting, spent about five hour thawing out the drain. I used boiling water and used compressed air to blow out the liquid. GE really dropped the ball on this model!! I added a copper wire from the defrost heater down the drain. To keep the drain open. This water tank assembly holds and directs refrigerated water for dispensing and ice production, restoring normal water flow and supply to the ice maker and dispenser. Easy-to-replace reservoir designed to fit the factory mounting points. What it does:

Routes incoming water through internal channels to the icemaker/dispenser valves.
