Freezer door foam insulation assembly for refrigerators. Replaces damaged, compressed, or missing foam that affects door seal integrity and appearance.
This is a French spring, or French divider door spring. It is used in refrigerators. This part allows the doors to open and close. It is located in the door of the fridge. A new French divider door spring may be needed if the door is stuck or is coming off of its hinges. This repair requires only a standard household toolkit. To replace the spring simply remove the old one and replace the part with a new, working piece. Be sure not to bend the spring while installing it as it will not fit in as the replacement part. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. This specific French Divider Door Spring is compatible with appliances made from General Electric.
Ordered the spring and plastic liner from Appliance Pro's. No tools were needed to install the spring and liner, but it did take a little patience to get it installed. BTW, I ordered the part from Appliance Pro's in the evening and received it in the mail two days later. They were incredibly fast!
