Was contemplating getting a new stove with convection oven because we can't live without a convection fan! Decided to look up parts for the oven and you guys prices for parts was outstanding! This black burner skirt fits around a 5K simmer burner ring to restore proper appearance and support the cooktop surface. Replaces cracked or damaged skirts to keep the burner area sealed and looking finished. What it does:
Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. You may need to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. In addition, you may need to use a flat head screwdriver to "help" engage the hinge locks over the hook. Hold the door securely on both sides (not the door handle). My gas & Carbon Monoxide alarm went off at 6:30 am a couple of Saturday's ago. Had to call fire dept. and gas company. Gas company found a leak in the area of my gas cooktop. They turned off gas and locked the meter. Found the leak & fixed, but while running pressure test on the line, found a leak at the shutoff valve on water heater. Fixed that, called gas company. Very easy fix. Lifted off the grill and burner. Unscrewed 2 screws. Pulled the burner pan up and off. Disconnected the wire to the igniter. Used needle nosed pliers to remove the clip holding the igniter in place. Removed the gasket from the old burner pan. Placed the new igniter in the hole of the new burner pan and slipped the old clip on the igniter to hold it in place. Then put the old gasket on the new burner pan. I posted a question to the forum about the temperature problem my range was having. i received a reply the next morning. i replaced the control unit after the probe and element checked out ok. with the new control unit the oven heats to and maintains the correct temperature. the project took about ten minutes. only needed to remove six screws.
