Dishwasher won't fill with water? A faulty water level float switch prevents proper filling. This switch assembly typically takes 15 minutes to replace.
Replacing the inlet valve solved the problem. The old valve was somehow clogged with white sediment. I probably could have taken it off and cleaned it out if I'd known, but replacing the valve was much easier. Took about half an hour to repair. Video walk through was extremely helpful. Dishes not drying or staying wet after cycle? This heating element heats water for cleaning and air for drying. Most DIYers replace in under 30 minutes.
Turned off power to dishwasher. Removed front bottom cover of dishwasher and removed the wires going to each end of the heating element. unscrewed the two nuts holding the faulty heating element in place. Then removed bottmo dish rack and spinning washer arm from inside the dishwasher. Removed old heating element and replaced with new one. Installed in reverse order (tightened two nuts, connected wires, etc.). Turned power on as last step and was off and running...or should I say washing. Read more

This is the cap that seals the rinse aid reservoir on the dishwasher door. It keeps rinse aid contained so it dispenses properly during the rinse cycle. Replace this cap if it is cracked, missing, or no longer seals tightly, which can cause rinse aid to leak out prematurely and result in spotty or poorly dried dishes.
Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. Soap dispenser door won't open or latch is broken? This detergent dispenser assembly fixes dispensing failures. DIY repair takes 10-15 minutes.
This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order. Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call! Read more
