Temperature Sensor
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00627375

The temperature sensor is an electronic probe that monitors internal appliance temperature and reports it to the control so it can regulate operation. Replacing a failed sensor restores more accurate temperatures and can clear temperature-related error codes. What it does:

  • Senses internal temperature via resistance changes and sends the signal to the electronic control
  • Helps the control reach and maintain the set temperature during operation
  • Common failure symptoms: too hot/cold, won't reach set temp, long/short cycles, temperature error codes
  • Can cause preheat to stall or the unit to shut off early (model dependent)
What's included:
  • Includes: 1 temperature sensor
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Location and access vary by model; typically mounts with screws or a clip and connects to a 2-wire harness
  • Handle the connector and wiring carefully; route and secure away from hot or moving parts
  • After installation, clear stored errors and run a test cycle to proper readings

Glow Igniter (Oven)
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00487242

This glow igniter heats electrically to light the appliance's gas burner. A weak or failed igniter can stop ignition or cause very long preheat times; replacing it restores reliable burner lighting and proper heating performance.

  • Heats to a bright glow to ignite the gas burner
  • Common fix for oven not heating or burner not lighting
  • Often resolves long preheat times or intermittent ignition
  • If the igniter doesn't glow—or glows but no flame appears—it may be weak or failed
What's included: 1 glow igniter Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing; allow the unit to cool completely
  • Handle the ceramic element carefully; avoid touching the igniter surface and do not flex, drop, or strike it
  • Transfer any reusable mounting hardware and wiring/connectors from the old part as needed
  • Verify secure connections and proper positioning near the burner before restoring power and gas

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven failed to light broiler also didn't light for a year before oven failed burner ignitor loose   Seaborn H. • Conroe , TX • November 20, 2016

Replaced both ignitors. Since I was working on the range I also overhauled the final 2 of the 6 burners on the stove top. Venturi tube and jet nuts were frozen and could not remove drip tray for cleaning and access to ignitor clip. Had to drill out Venturi tubes using a tapered bore bit. Used Dremmel with cutting wheel to remove jet nut. This range has been heavily used since new for 16 years. Works like new, again. Read more

  • Carries gas between internal components (such as the valve/manifold and burner)
  • Maintains a sealed pathway to prevent leaks
  • Helps ensure proper ignition and flame size

What's included: 1 gas supply tube Installation notes:
  • Shut off gas supply and power before servicing; work in a well-ventilated area
  • Match original routing and orientations; avoid kinks and sharp bends
  • Tighten fittings to manufacturer guidance; do not overtighten

Spark Igniter (Burner), Single
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00418885

This spark igniter is the burner electrode that creates the high-voltage spark to light the gas. Replacing a worn igniter restores quick, reliable ignition and helps eliminate repeated clicking or having to light the burner manually.

  • Generates a spark at the burner to ignite gas during lighting
  • Typical symptoms: burner won't light, no visible spark at that burner, intermittent or delayed ignition, or needing a match to light
  • Replaces a cracked, fouled, or heat-damaged electrode that no longer sparks reliably
  • Provides the ignition spark only; gas flow is managed by the valve
What's included: 1 spark igniter Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Remove grates/caps and access the burner; note wire routing and mounting
  • Transfer mounting hardware from the old igniter; handle the ceramic insulator gently and keep the tip clean
  • Reassemble, restore power/gas, and verify proper spark and burner ignition

Potentiometer (Control Knob Input), 1
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00629722

This potentiometer is the rotary sensor behind the control knob. It converts knob rotation into an electrical signal the control board uses to adjust settings, restoring smooth, accurate response when a worn or erratic control causes inconsistent operation.

  • Translates knob rotation into a variable-resistance signal for the electronic control
  • Enables the control board to regulate power/heat or speed, depending on model
  • Common failure symptoms: unresponsive or jumpy settings, dead spots when turning, or settings that drift
  • Helps restore precise, repeatable adjustments at the knob
What's included: 1 potentiometer Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
  • Pull off the knob and open the control panel to access the potentiometer
  • Move wires one at a time to the new part; align the shaft/flat to the knob as noted

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven not heating   Simon M. • West Nyack , NY • January 03, 2018

The oven was not heating, and there was no gas flow to the oven or spark. I replaced the spark igniter, but that did not fix it, so the problem was either the ignition device or the oven bake solenoid. In order to get to them, I had to cut the venturi tubes which hold down the burner rings with a Dremel tool, which was easy enough. There is no other way to get these tubes out if they are stiff or seized as you will simply twist the gas supply line to the burner if you try to rotate the nut.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You One burner not igniting another burner continues "clicking" after ignition.   Craig C. • Rumson , NJ • March 09, 2024

Removed two burner heads. Needed propane torch to heat two Torx head screws on each.. Soaked ignitor retainer Torx head screws in Nut Blaster. Got one out and broke the other. Scraped carbon/rust out of area that retainer sits in so ignitor was proper height and square/ plumb. That burner worked fine with old part.
