Diode Harness Kit
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR55X30923

The Diode Harness Kit is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. This kit is designed to provide a solution for refrigerators that require a diode harness jumper to connect the water valve diode to the main control board. It allows for proper communication and control of the water flow to the refrigerator's dispenser and icemaker.

A bad diode harness can occur due to wear and tear, damage, or loose connections. If you notice symptoms such as no water dispensing, inconsistent water flow, or issues with the icemaker, it may indicate a need to replace the diode harness kit.

Symptoms of a bad diode harness include:

  • No water dispensing
  • Inconsistent water flow
  • Issues with the icemaker

Ensure the proper functioning of your GE refrigerator's water valve diode by replacing the faulty diode harness kit with this genuine OEM part.

This GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Defroster in freezer not functioning causing the freezer to frost up and the fridge to not cool appropriately   Eddie R. • Debary , FL • January 06, 2015

I unplugged the fridge and took all the food and shelving out of the freezer and then proceeded to take off the bottom sliding drawer rack on both sides off (4 Phillips head screws). Then took off the light bulb cover and then the light bulb. Then the back wall that covers the coils and tubes that the refrigerant runs through ( 2 screws with hex head). After sliding out the back wall I could see that the entire coil area was frosted and iced up. I took a blow dryer and melted all of it over... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water tank leak   Gordon T. • Jonesboro , AR • January 27, 2017

Our refrigerator takes care of my wife and I, along with our children when they visit, and the grand kids. Over the years, it's seen its fair share of wear and tear. Thankfully, nothing major has happened that hasn't been able to be repaired right here in the home, and by me. Our refrigerator is a GE side-by-side with an ice maker/water dispenser, and has held up well. I've ordered parts for it from AppliancePartsPros.com for all of its repairs, and while GE/Frigidaire have been changing out a... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Initial problem was no water had ice though   Joe M. • Collegeville , PA • March 21, 2017

After reading posts on the problem I concluded that the motor and solenoid was OK because I was getting water shooting out in the water line before the water entered the freezer door. At the bottom of the door there is a quick disconnect to check the water before it goes into the freezer door. So, I concentrated on looking at the mechanism that dispensed the water because I read a post that said that the water usually freezes right in the hose before it comes out of the dispenser. I used a... Read more
