The Diode Harness Kit is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. This kit is designed to provide a solution for refrigerators that require a diode harness jumper to connect the water valve diode to the main control board. It allows for proper communication and control of the water flow to the refrigerator's dispenser and icemaker.

I unplugged the fridge and took all the food and shelving out of the freezer and then proceeded to take off the bottom sliding drawer rack on both sides off (4 Phillips head screws). After reading posts on the problem I concluded that the motor and solenoid was OK because I was getting water shooting out in the water line before the water entered the freezer door.
