I ordered the ice door assembly and a door recess spring and while I was working on that particular area the ice chute funnel that kept falling off on one side. Internal water reservoir with attached tubing that stores and delivers chilled water to the dispenser. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged.
Installing the tank went quickly. Removed the water filter from the upper compartment to stop water flow to the tank. Had to remove the two lower drawers (they tilt out of their sliding frames). There is a glass shelf that should be pulled out - it slides out via two notches in the front frame. The water tank is behind a white metal cover held by 4 screws. Keep track of all of the parts including the lip seals from the shelf. I used two Watts 5/15x5/16 couplers from Lowes for the connections.... Read more

I replaced the fan and heater element. The replacement was not an exact match. I had to adjust the parts to get the harness to fit the plug was not the correct size. I cut it off and used the existing plug. Not a big deal and everything else fit. Pretty good for a twenty year old replacement. Also the heater element was a different shape but it fit as is. Ordered the new interface display - this must be the easiest refrigerator repair possible. My version popped right off without even a screw (some models have a screw). There are 3 different sizes of connector to disconnect and hook up to the new board - so you really can't mess that up. Read more

Secures the evaporator fan shroud to the rear compartment frame. Replace if rusted, cracked, or broken to properly support the fan assembly and alignment.
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Stores ice in the freezer and drives it to the dispenser chute. Replace this assembly when the bucket is cracked, the auger is worn, or ice won't dispense.

Replace your worn or broken refrigerator bottom hinge pin. Supports the door and serves as the lower pivot point on the bottom hinge assembly.
Replaced the hinges and all parts pertaining to hinges on the refrigerator door. Total cost was approx. $83 and it took 1 hour this morning (Saturday). Now the door is closing tightly. The refrigerator is 10 years old. GE brand. Read more
