Ice maker not ejecting cubes or stopped making ice? This complete assembly restores full ice production. Simple 10-minute DIY fix with just a screwdriver.
Replaced the entire ice making unit. It was a very simple project. The original ice maker is held in place by two screws at the front and some tabs in the back. Removing the screws allowed the unit to come free from the tabs and drop down. We simply released the wiring clip, removed the broken unit and reversed the process. The repair took about ten minutes and is something I have never done before. I am guessing we saved over $100 by ordering from AppliancePartsPros.com and doing the job... Read more

After reading stories on this website I decided the problem was probably the control board. I ordered the sensors also just in case. The display has been dim for awhile so I got that also. I replaced the board and the display in less than an hour. It is working perfectly now so I never installed the sensors. I believe the board was ruined by a recent power outage. The power flickered several times before it went out, I don't think the board could handle the fluctuations. This will be my go to... Read more

This is a protective relay that prevents your refrigerator compressor from electrical damage due to power surges or overload conditions. It automatically shuts off power to the compressor when dangerous electrical conditions are detected. Replace it when your refrigerator stops cooling, the compressor won't start, or you hear clicking sounds but the compressor doesn't run.
I noticed the temperature creeping up on my Samsung refrigerator and freezer. It also was not making the normal sound when a compressor kicks in. Just a clicking sound along with the fan was audible. Normally when it would get like this, I would unplug the power, let sit for 10-15 minutes, plug back in and be okay. This time, a full power reset didn't work. Every time, there was just clicking. I got strange readings on the relay. VOM displayed 122vac on one terminal and when clicked, it... Read more

I replaced the entire ice maker unit. I ordered the ice maker and the front cover. The ice maker plugged right in and started making ice right away. The front cover doesn't go on this particular unit. I guess since it's a replacement part, it differs a little in design. Front cover fit the old ice maker no problem but not the new unit. Not that big a deal for me, it's not like you see the ice maker much anyways. Read more
