This plastic end cap covers and protects the adjustable front leg at the bottom corner of your refrigerator. It snaps onto the toe grille assembly to provide a finished appearance and prevent debris from getting into the leg mechanism. Replace it when the original cap is cracked, missing, or won't stay attached properly.
The part was easily replaced. The biggest problem was that the front leg “caps” were shown in the drawings as separate parts. Would they be included with the kick plate or not? Were they ordered as the pair or did you need to order two? From the drawing it seemed they would not come with the part. So I ordered one. The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. The excessive build up of ice caused the cube tray to crack and also split the little silicone water grommet that connects to the water delivery tube which directs water into the cube tray.
