Replaced the inside back panel which comes with a new fan. Seems the old fan had stopped working due to ice which burned it out. The drain tube was blocked and ice built up on the bottom plate. Using a basting tube from Walmart and hot water I thawed out the ice in the tube. The basting tube became much like a toilet plunger and cleared the line rapidly. Nothing else worked as fast. Replaced the control panel circuit board. Three screws out of the top cover, pop off the square door roller trims and the cover just lifts off. Unplug the old board connector, remove five screws holding the bracket and remove the board. Replace in reverse order....fixed! All of five minutes. Basic trouble shooting all pointed to that control circuit board as the culprit and it was. $98.00 fix that even the most inept person could do. Read more

Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. Not easy to figure out. Removed screws that appeared to hold the motor/fan/bracket in but it didn't budge (??). Watched a You Tube video but the guy's camera work wasn't too clear. I at least gathered that there was a plastic, one-way button/slide lock on the underside of bracket that holds the motor/fan assemby in.. Didn't make sense that once the button was pushed up with a screwdriver, the bracket would slide out (towards you) because there are rigid cooling lines that are in the way. ... Read more
