This switch monitors the oven door/lock status for high-temperature self-clean (pyrolytic) operation. If it fails, the control may read the door position incorrectly, preventing self-clean or causing incorrect door-lock indications.

• Detects door/lock position during pyrolytic self-clean cycles
• Sends status to the electronic control and lock/latch mechanism
• Helps ensure self-clean only runs when the door is secured
• Common symptoms: self-clean won't start or complete; "Door Locked" light stays on/off at the wrong time; door/lock error messages

• Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely
• Access the switch near the door latch or behind the control panel; note wire positions and transfer one at a time
• Mount the new switch with the actuator oriented to engage the latch/door correctly
• Restore power and the control recognizes door closed/locked status before operation
