The left side sync wheel was broken so the right side wouldn't stay all of the way closed. Replaced the left side sliding rail assembly and installed a new right side gear. At first I tried to fix the bent rails and press back in the ball bearings, but even the sleeves were ripped. The rails purchased from Appliance Part Pros were in-stock and lowest cost. I needed to keep the metal rod that keeps the two drawer slides in sync, and a small plastic piece that holds the metal rod in place. I found a YouTube video and followed the steps. It took me less than 15 minutes to complete the change out of the assembly. I removed one screw, carefully pulled out the assembly, then disconnected one cable (reversed the process for the new assembly). I then snapped into place the water spout through the ice dispenser opening and tested the water and ice. Both worked like new without issues and I am very happy I did this repair myself. Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine. PS- use a small open end wrench to push the fan blade off the old fan. Read more
