The new part arrived, I figured out the old part would slide up to be removed, had to give it a nudge but it was easily removed. Popped in the new butter keeper, removed the tape holding the flip-up door closed, pushed it down hard one extra time to make sure the lid would open and shut easily. FIXED. And I'm a 74 yo female. Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week.
