Followed the suggestions and washed off the wave guide cover first (it had some food soil on it). Put it back on and tried operating the microwave with nothing in it. Got a real big spark then. Discovered that there were some areas on the door that had paint scraped off. I unplugged the oven and left it installed over the range, removed the screws for the bottom plate, unplugged the cable for the bottom lamp and the turn table motor. Two screws removed the motor and the mount from the bottom of the oven. The new motor and mount replacement parts in the kit were installed easily by replacing the two mounting screws. Reassembly was the reverse of disassembly. Read more
