Ordered Turn Table Shaft and replaced the broken one…very simple…only had to remove one screw to get to the part. Read more
With no power in the unit I started to investigate. I removed the power cord and checked the supply. Then I removed a few panels from the unit. The parts are readily accessible and the wiring diagrams on the computer are very helpful. I removed the wires from each device and the probed the devices. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros online and they shipped the parts in less than one day! Read more
Replaced turntable. The axels of the small wheels on the turn table degraded after hard usage (20 minutes of near continuous use on small tasks). They would now spark and smoke with noxious fumes. Trivial solution: replace the turn table (the wheels don't seem to be replaceable). Read more

My husband is the hero in this story. At this time in our lives we weren't looking to purchase another microwave. After 10 years at my company, due to a workforce reduction, my position was eliminated. He quickly realized it could be the fuse. We searched the microwave and the part on line and appliance part pros came up with the parts for our microwave. We needed the fuse and the fuse holder. For under $20 we were able to get the microwave working again. Thank you appliance part pros for... Read more
If you search for this issue online, you’ll see this is caused by a faulty door switch - the primary interlock micro switch (with the red button). Two screws on one side of the black cover, one on the other side and several screws in back. The cover slides back. The switches are clearly visible on the right hand side. The white door paddle presses on the switch... Read more

14 year old GE Profile microwave wouldn't heat, but had power. Read reviews here. Ordered triumvirate of magnetron, capacitor, & diode. Was hoping not to need the capacitor as this was an expensive part; and if not needed to return to AppliancePartsPros, which has been SOP. After watching a couple YouTube videos of microwave capacitors being shorted, I made a capacitor discharge tool ordering 24W 100K Ohm resistor and high voltage test wires w/ alligator clips from amazon. At the same time,... Read more
Problem was the primary interlock switch. The switch checked OK for continuity but when installed and activated by the door closing, the switch would not close due to the over travel in the switch caused by the door lever. That would have been easy and inexpensive, however when attempting to disconnect RY2 while troubleshooting the top of the relay came out which was impossible to reassemble. That mistake cost me a new main board ($180). SO, if you disconnect the relay hold the top in place... Read more
