After a couple of years of procrastination (I was not sure I wanted to tare the washing machine apart) I finally mustered up the courage to start the repair. Unplugged line cord. Removed two phillips screws close to bottom in front and lifted at 30º angle to release top clips on front panel, rotated it aside so as to not disturb door switch wires. Turned drum by hand. Located rattle emanating from blower housing. Removed lint screen and holder with phillips and 1/4" nutdriver. Removed blower housing cover with 1/4" and 5/16" nut driver. Blower wheel's hub was shattered around motor shaft. Ordered new one. Cleaned out lint buildup. Took off... Read more

I removed the bottom and front panels, then I removed the drum, then removed the attachments on the combustion duct, then I installed the new combustion duct, reinstalled the drum, reinstalled the front and bottom panels, and that was it. Read more
