This is a fan motor assembly used in the dishwasher's drying system, typically associated with a zeolite-based drying mechanism. It circulates air through the drying system to help remove moisture from dishes after the wash cycle. This is a small plastic holder that secures the tine clips on the dishwasher rack, keeping the fold-down tines locked in their upright or lowered positions. It snaps onto the rack wire and holds the tine row clips firmly in place. Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success.
