This is a mechanical actuator that controls the opening of the detergent dispenser door during the wash cycle. It triggers the dispenser to release detergent at the correct time in the cycle. Replace this part if the dispenser door fails to open, detergent remains in the cup after a cycle, or dishes are not getting clean due to unreleased detergent.

The pump impeller came apart so it was not pumping the water and making noise. The dishwasher came apart easy but the gasket to the sump assembly stayed attached to the bottom of the tub and did not pull it off. Replaces the outer door panel on your dishwasher. Needed when the existing panel is dented, scratched, discolored, or you want a different finish.
Removed the original outer door retaining screws with torque bit. Unfortunately the new door was slightly thicker than the original. Therefore also removed (loosened) the control panel to fit the new door behind the control panel slots that the outer door was to slide tabs into. Fastened all screws back in place. Control panel screws very tight fit but forced into place. Looks great but difficult as new outer door not perfect fit in thickness. Read more
