The Flip Tine Latch is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It serves as a latching mechanism on upper dish racks that securely holds folded tines.
Made of durable plastic, the latch features offset hooks integrated along its base edge. These engage onto roll edges of individual flip up tines, pinning them neatly against the chamber to prevent unwanted movement.

This flip tine latch secures the adjustable tines in your dishwasher's upper rack, allowing you to fold them down for loading larger items. After some online research, I luckily found someone else with the same issue. They also included a link to the correct control module, which was important because all the online parts suppliers were recommending the wrong part.
