The Insert is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It is a multi-functional component located inside the dishwasher tub that assists in loading, washing, and drying dishes. 

Causes of a bad insert can include wear and tear of moving parts over time, mineral buildup that impairs movement, or damage to shelves or tines that prevent proper function.
