Our Bosch suddenly quit washing the dishes properly after 15 years of faithful service. I observed that there was no pressure coming from the sprayers, and determined it to be the circulating pump. I could reach into the pump from inside the dishwasher and could feel that something was loose in there - the impeller moved when pumping, but I could stop it with my finger. When I took the pump out and disassembled it, the impeller was in two pieces (the front and back pieces that are supposed... Read more
Fix a dishwasher that won't power on, won't stop running, or has a burned smell. This control unit manages all dishwasher operations. Moderate difficulty.
After checking everything (power switch, door lock switch, heater resistance, heater current, NTC resistance, resetting control unit) replaced control unit and dishwasher operates correctly. To save a chunk of money I ordered a newer design control unit for a different model Bosch dishwasher. I made sure the control unit had the same shape and display, and had the same water fill function (timed) by cross referencing the new control unit number by dishwasher model and then looking at Bosch's... We ordered the spring and the fiber connecter. The parts arrived, but all the videos showed the replacement of the spring and cord. So I took the dishwasher out from the cabinet and thankfully could see how the other side was done, so copied the same pattern with the spring hook pointed to the opposite side. Put it all back together, making sure the hoses were not kinked and the cabinet screws in the same holes. Happy camper it all works just fine. Read more

I replaced both the door seal and the lower door seal. The lower seal was a bigger job and I used a number of YouTube videos to walk me through it. It was a pain, but it worked. Had I called the appliance store the following would have happened - After a week they come out and verify, yet it is leaking and they will need to come back in a week or so after ordering parts. Instead I did t myself, got the parts in 2-3 days and saved some money. There are very good resources for finding parts and... Read more
