I posed this question on the APP site and replacing the control unit was suggested. I ordered the unit at 5 pm on Wednesday and the part arrived via FedEx the next day before 10 am!! YouTube has a video that "pretty much" explained how to complete the job for this type of DW at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a48XesVzfU0.
