Well, I replaced the part I ordered. Not that easy. Had to remove the sheet metal bed for the motherboard. Finicky. Had to bend metal, urge hard plastic to widen. The screws on the motherboard were cheap and needed a precise screwdriver bit. Took an hour. But thank God the assembly was the problem. Microwave works normally. I wasn't sure at first if my problem was the keypad membrane or the control board it attaches to but based on the experienced advice of Ed Miller at microwavecontrol.com who provided the part number and linked me to Appliance Parts Pros I ordered a new keypad membrane that turned out to be the fix. The microwave is now operating like new! Read more

Bought the Control Panel Assembly and installed it. So far, the problem is solved. Be aware that this is the key pad only and appears to be what goes bad on this model of the Samsung microwave. Considering it costs less than half of the version with the controller board included, this is a deal. There is something I'd suggest, mark or track with tape what plugs go where since there are several plugs that look similar to others on the control board. Read more
The relay control board manages power distribution to the microwave's various components including the magnetron, turntable, and lights, typically located behind the control panel. Replace when the microwave doesn't heat food, turntable stops working, or display functions fail while power is present.
A quick Google Search revealed the solution. Cleaning the contacts on the ribbon cable would probably solve the problem. So, I pulled the ribbon out of the socket and cleaned it with a pencil eraser per the instructions on YouTube. Easy. Hmm...maybe I should use some contact cleaner on the ribbon to make sure it's really clean.... ..so after the ribbon cable dissolved, I started searching for replacement parts. I came across AppliancePartsPros on the web, but needed some help to make sure... Read more
