Well, I replaced the part I ordered. Not that easy. Had to remove the sheet metal bed for the motherboard. Finicky. Had to bend metal, urge hard plastic to widen. The screws on the motherboard were cheap and needed a precise screwdriver bit. Took an hour. But thank God the assembly was the problem. Microwave works normally. A quick Google Search revealed the solution. Cleaning the contacts on the ribbon cable would probably solve the problem. So, I pulled the ribbon out of the socket and cleaned it with a pencil eraser per the instructions on YouTube. Easy.
