Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. So I finished tearing apart the freezer to get to part removing the ice maker and rear panel, removed fan and ordered new parts, parts arrived as said and I put back together. Tested the refrigerator evaporator fan and it would not run. Ordered evaporator motor and fan blade just in case. I went ahead and replaced sensor just as a preventive measure. Did not take long. forgot to order fan clip, but was able to salvage old one. Works Great. Read more

Fixes corroded or broken wiring causing motor failure. Connects evaporator fan motor to electrical system. Moderate DIY repair, requires panel removal.
Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine. PS- use a small open end wrench to push the fan blade off the old fan. Read more
