I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. This is a single piece of glass, you must reuse the window frame.
Removed 3 screws on top of door, 3 screws on bottom if door which released glass front. Then removed 4 nuts on sheet metal window cover to get to window. To get to the broken glass there was one tab on the corner of the window frame that had to be bent upward to loosen the frame. Removed the broken glass, slid in the new glass, re tightened the frame and put everything back together. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain.
