Evaporator Fan Motor Kit
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR60X30349

The Evaporator Fan Motor Kit is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is a critical component responsible for circulating air and maintaining proper airflow within the refrigerator's evaporator system, ensuring efficient cooling and temperature regulation. It features a shaft that measures 3/8 of an inch and two right-side terminals. Notably, the motor no longer comes with harness wires, which must be obtained separately for installation.

Symptoms of a faulty evaporator fan motor include:

  • Inconsistent or inadequate cooling in the refrigerator or freezer compartments
  • Warm spots or temperature fluctuations within the refrigerator
  • Excessive frost buildup or ice accumulation in the freezer

Causes of a bad evaporator fan motor can include wear and tear over time, electrical issues or short circuits, or physical damage from foreign objects or improper maintenance.

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore refrigerator models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator would not cool nor freeze!   Tom C. • Kenmore , WA • October 31, 2015

I called AppliancePartsPros.com and they helped me diagnose the problem for this very nice, and well designed refrigerator, that I wanted to keep rather than recycle at the local scrap yard. It turns out that all it needed was a small electric fan (i.e., evaporator fan) to circulate the air from the freezer coils throughout the refrigerator [all other major components were good]. It was really easy to locate the motor and fan and replace it. I saved hundreds of $$$. I really appreciated the... Read more

Grommet
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR2X7391

The Fan Blade Grommet is an OEM replacement part for GE brand refrigerators. Located behind the evaporator fan blade where its central shaft passes through, this rubber sealing piece creates a protective barrier isolating the fan assembly.

Causes of a potentially problematic fan blade grommet include cracks or deterioration that develop from continuous vibration and impacts over extended use. Exposure to temperature fluctuations can also cause the rubber to harden and lose elasticity.

Symptoms of a faulty fan blade grommet include:

  • Airflow obstructions within the duct
  • Noisy vibrations from the fan assembly
  • Rubber debris collecting on components

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore model refrigerators.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaky freezer gasket   Mike S. • Excelsior , MN • July 21, 2016

Purchased an OEM gasket from AppliancePartsPros.com, I had mistakenly purchased a gasket from another online retailer- Not OEM to save a few bucks, big mistake. The part did not properly seal, I had frost and ice buildup inside the freezer, the molded in 'magnetic' gasket was not magnetized - the door was weakly held closed. The APP part was as OEM and fit like a glove, a bit tedious feeding it into the gasket retention groove, but I did get there with the help of a putty knife. This gasket... Read more

Refrigerator Door Hinge Thimble
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR2X6278

This small cylindrical bushing is positioned inside the refrigerator door hinge mechanism to reduce friction and provide smooth door operation. Replace it when the door becomes difficult to open/close, makes squeaking noises, or doesn't align properly with the cabinet.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Thimble on hinge was worn leading to door not being level it was also allowing leakage at the lower corner of the gasket   Larry L. • Gouldsboro , PA • June 27, 2015

I supported the door with some books then took off the lower hinge. After lowering the door just a little I removed the old thimble using an EZ out then screwed in the new one. I didn't even need to unload the inside of the door. Read more
