First, I got lucky by discovering the defrost timer had failed. The hint was on a receipt from a repair several years earlier. Same part failed. Local appliance parts business did not have it in stock and said it would take them 7 to 10 business days to get it. I ordered it from you (AppliancePartsPros.com) and had the part in about 3-4 days. Replaced the thermostat. It was a trick wiggling the capillary line out of it's well, but once out, replacing it was simple. Lots of screws, so remember where they all go. Take pics, as you disassemble it, totally from the fridge section. Also be careful to have the correct side of the thermostat box up, or the knob will point in the wrong direction. Ask me how I know this. :) Also, on my particular model, there was no place to connect the ground wire, so it grounded through the chassis. Read more
