Once I moved in, I realized several shelves were held up by string.......I knew I couldn't use it effectively that way, and I wasn't ready to buy a new refrigerator, so I googled appliance parts and found this site. The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating. I replaced the door stop. Fortunately, I did NOT follow the advice on your Questions and Answers discussion and remove the door to do this: "You will need to remove the door hinge cover and hinge from the top of the door. Then lift and remove the door from the refrigerator. Lay the door on a soft surface and remove the screws holding the door stop WR2X9302 in place. Reinstall in reverse order." The two screws are fairly easy to remove with a socket wrench with the door in place. Read more
