I got the model number from inside the refrigerator and started researching as to who sold parts for this old refrigerator. AppliancePartsPros.com had the best price with parts and shipping. It came in just a few days. The handle was easy to replace by popping out the bottom cover, unscrewing one screw at the bottom and then unscrewing the top two screws. It took about 5 minutes to replace. Very easy. Very nice replacement part. Read more

First cleaned cooling fins at bottom. Plugged!! Cooled well but still got warm again. Tested defrost timer, boarder line good so replaced it. Still was getting warm. After doing a lot of web searching I found a tree chart which showed a trouble shooting method. After dropping down the list my symptom was freezer thermostat was bad. Got one from the Pros.com and the problem was solved. Wish that the drop down chart was on the pros.com website, it would have saved time and food. Read more
Replaced the thermostat. It was a trick wiggling the capillary line out of it's well, but once out, replacing it was simple. Lots of screws, so remember where they all go. Take pics, as you disassemble it, totally from the fridge section. Also be careful to have the correct side of the thermostat box up, or the knob will point in the wrong direction. Ask me how I know this. :) Also, on my particular model, there was no place to connect the ground wire, so it grounded through the chassis. Read more
