Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP7403P316-60

This high-limit thermostat (hi-limit switch) is a temperature safety device that stops the heating circuit if the appliance overheats, helping protect the unit and restore proper heat control when replaced. What it does:

  • Can be tested for continuity to confirm electrical function.
What's included:
  • One high-limit thermostat (hi-limit switch).
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before inspecting or replacing; risk of shock or injury if energized.
  • Note and label wire locations or take a photo before removal for correct reassembly.
  • Verify part compatibility with your model before installing; confirm continuity after installation.
