This is a semi tub back assembly, which is the back piece of the washer drum assembly. This back assembly attaches to the back of the washer drum connecting to the spider arm that rotates the washer tub. If the back assembly is damaged, it can cause a washing machine to not spin properly. Although it might seem difficult to replace this part at first glance, it is actually a simple process. To replace this tub back assembly, start by having a screwdriver or power tool driver in order to remove the front screws on the door panel. Removing these screws will allow for access to the interior drum of the machine. Be sure to also remove the top panel for an open bird's eye view. Once screws have been removed, unhook any hoses that are attached to the drum. Once all panels on the front and top have been removed, lift the tub out of the machine. Unscrew the old semi tub back attached to the front drum. Then replace it with the new part. This semi tub back part is a genuine replacement part. It is compatible with Samsung washing machines.
