This drain pump assembly is responsible for pumping water out of the washer tub during the drain and spin cycles. It includes the pump motor and housing as a complete unit. Replace this assembly if your washer fails to drain, drains very slowly, or makes loud humming or grinding noises during the drain cycle.
I used youtube to look for diagnostic and then took my washer apart all of a sudden the front loader was no longer fun, I cleaned out the trap that was full checked all other lines and put back together. Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great !
