While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. I opted to save myself about $600 by repairing my 8 year old LG washing machine rather than buying a new one. After watching some videos I determined what I needed upon taking my washing machine apart. I ended up replacing the tub (includes spider and shaft), since I could not get the spider part removed from the original tub, as well as the motor bolt (which had broken when I removed it from the original tub's shaft). I just wanted to say thank you for the helpful and informative video. It gave me the confidence to fix the bearing issue with my 5 year old LG washer. Although my washer is a different model than the one used in the video, it still gave me the overall view on “How To” approach the repair and what items and materials were required.
