Seals washer door to prevent leaks during cycles. Replace if worn, torn, or leaking. Verify your model and existing gasket drain hole configuration.
I had a slow leak from the very front of my LG washer, so I was pretty sure that it was just the gasket leaking, and not any of the hoses. It's not a complicated repair, with the usual confidence-inspiring video from Matt. There are three things to be aware of: 1) I originally ordered the wrong gasket. My model number is WM2277HW /01, which the APP website does not recognize. It only recognizes /00 or no suffix whatsoever. The correct part number for the /01 is 4986ER0004B. The easy way... Bleach dispenser funnel for LG front load washers. Installs in detergent drawer to safely dispense bleach. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
The error code was E0 and this indicated that there was a drainage issue with the washer. I bought a new drain pump motor and a front seal gasket from Appliance parts pros, watched the installation video and installed the parts. The video was direct and straight forward. Everything is working very well again Read more
Replace your washer's drain hose if cracked, leaking, or damaged. Connects the pump to the standpipe for proper water drainage during wash cycles.
I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash. What I learned is LG stopped making the orginal front tub cover and replaced it with one that had a drain hole at the bottom front edge. I also learned that this new... Read more
Motor harness wiring for washers. Connects motor to control board. Replace if wires are damaged, frayed, connectors broken, or harness is worn out.
My front loader LG washing machine wasn’t working correctly. The clothes were either coming out unwashed or completely dripping. When turning the washer on it would start up like normal and the turn off a few minutes in. Initially it was not displaying an error code, this made it very difficult to diagnose. One of the kids started a load not knowing we are having issues and it started making a clunking cringing noise, when I went to investigate the EL code was up. A few YouTube videos later... Read more
This inlet hose routes water from the fill valve into your washer. Replace if cracked, leaking, or worn to prevent water damage and drips.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more
Seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washer tub. Replace if worn or leaking to prevent water damage. Confirm fit with your model.
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
Seals the opening between your front-load washer door and tub to prevent leaks. Replace when torn, deformed, or leaking. Confirm fit with your model.
I sat an watched a wash cycle. When it came to drain cycle I could hear the pump making a grinding noise! Door bellow seal leaked too. I ordered new pump and housing, new door bellows seal. The clearance of the pump impeller and housing are real important. I have jet Skies and I knew it is an issue. Watched the video on the repair. Gave me all the instructions to take it apart. One thing it did not show. Lube the new seal mating surface with laundry detergent. It went right on. I have never... Read more
Replacement bolt that secures the spider assembly to the inner wash basket. Needed when hardware is missing, stripped, or corroded during repairs.
Can't buy LG parts in Canada without getting an LG Tech to install. $1000 repair was too steep for me so went on websites and bought from Appliance Parts. Watch the video on Appliance Parts. Note - Joyce from Appliance Parts really helped in identifying the bolts that I needed. Read on and you will see why. Stripped down machine and identified the spider had failed along its three arms. Bearings were still in good condition. Managed to get three bolts off spider but remaining three had same... Read more
Washer won't spin or agitate properly? A worn stator disrupts the motor's magnetic field, preventing drum rotation. Moderate DIY repair restores spin.
Secures the stator to the motor assembly in your washer. Replace if bolt is stripped, spinning freely, or missing to restore proper motor stability.
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
Factory mounting screw for washer tub assemblies, panels, and brackets. Replaces stripped, corroded, or missing screws to secure components properly.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... Secures hose connections to prevent leaks in your washer. Replace if corroded, rusted, or leaking around hose fittings. Confirm fit by model number.
I went to your web site found the part using the model number of the washer machine. Also with the part picture, there was a video showing step by step instructions. They were very clear and was breeze replacing the hose.Doing this myself saved at least probably $150-200. Appliance repair shops quoted me around $80.00 just to come out. Then they mark up the price of the hose at least twice the cost of what I paid , They too have to order the part and come back to install. So the labor was what... Read more
