This rotor position sensor (Hall sensor) tracks the direct-drive motor's rotor position and speed so the control can commutate the washer motor accurately. Replacing a failed sensor can restore proper wash/agitate and spin performance. What it does:

Connects water hose to washer nozzle/dispenser assembly. Replace if cracked, worn, or leaking to restore a tight, leak-resistant seal during fill cycles.
Ordered boot, nozzle, and inner spring for boot. Would have ordered outer, but the schematic for parts made it very difficult to navigate to locate parts...24 hr/next day air and I have a happy wife. The only thing that would have made it easier, was having a pair of Spring Expansion pliers, be careful not to pinch inner boot! Replaces the front outer tub cover that houses the door boot seal and aligns the spin basket. Order a new cover if yours is cracked or worn from use.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. Disassembled & found a poorly made spindle (spider) that was broken on each of 3 spokes. Heavy corrosion after 12 years of usage so can't complain.
