Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leak at drain pump   Anthony S. • Charlotte , NC • April 19, 2016

I had to repair a previous "appliance repairman" fix. They obviously didn't order thier parts from AppliancePartPros.com. They had radiator hose clamps tightening down the hoses on the wrong size pump inlet and outlet. So THANKS to AppliancePartsPros.com I am no longer in the dog house! I ordered parts on Thursday at 12 and were at my door Saturday by 3! Read more

Control Panel Assembly (Right Half)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WE19X10071

This control panel assembly replaces a damaged or worn right-side console section to restore button access and the front-facing control surface. It provides the visible panel and button openings so controls operate and look correct. What it does:

  • Replaces a cracked, faded, or broken right-side control panel section
  • Restores proper button alignment and access for the right-side controls
  • Helps stop debris or moisture from entering the front console area
  • Addresses symptoms such as unresponsive or physically damaged right-side buttons, broken panel surface, or cosmetic wear
What's included: One right-side control panel assembly, as shown. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair to avoid shock.
  • Removal typically requires accessing the console area and removing fasteners; keep track of screws and small parts.
  • Handle the panel carefully to avoid scratching the finish or damaging button openings; use soft tools to pry clips.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I have a ge profile harmony washer with the digital panel message appeared indicating broken clutch coupling   Lena L. • Staten Island , NY • March 03, 2016

We ordered the part from appliance parts pro. We DID NOT have to remove the panels of the machine nor take out the tub. We simply laid it it on it's side (not the back because of the panel on the back/top portion of the washer). We had to remove one nut....though it was hard, we used a hammer to nudge it. I believe there was three other screws that had to get removed. The key is to remember exactly how the original/ broken coupling was positioned and insert the new coupling the SAME way. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer no longer oscillated   John E. • Slidell , LA • March 23, 2019

Pulsator Asm was stripped in the center....once I realized the problem, ordered the part and replacement screw. I did not realize that the screw came with the Pulsator part, so I did not need to order it. Fix is simple; less that 5 minutes. remove cap with a screwdriver by prying it off, remove screw and Pulsator, replace, tighten replace cap. Boom, new washer. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lid switch failed   Wyley A. • Greenville , NC • July 31, 2015

Tried jumping out the switch and eliminating it from the circuit. The GE Harmony washer is smarter than I am and it knew something wasn't right and forced me to make the repair. Checked my local parts house who wanted more money for the switch and more time to get it than Appliance Parts Pros. Ordered it from Appliance Parts Pros, got it as scheduled priced as expected. Installed the switch and amazingly, it works!! Read more

Washer Transmission Assembly
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WH39X10003

This genuine OEM part is sold individually. It is a transmission assembly for washing machines. The transmission assembly is the gearbox in the washing machine's motor that allows the washing machine to work at different speeds and different intensities. If the washing machine is no longer spinning properly and has lost its normal level of washing power, it could mean that the transmission assembly needs to be replaced. Luckily replacing this part is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. To replace the transmission assembly, start by turning off all power to the washing machine. Proceed to remove the upper control panel. To do this, pull forward on the bottom of the console and remove the two retaining clips as well as the harness connector to the lid switch. Using a flathead screwdriver remove the clips. After this, remove the entire cabinet from the back panel to gain access to the interior of the washer. Next, remove the 7/16 bolt from the agitator and pull it straight up to remove it from the shaft. Once completed, access the motor and pump and remove by releasing the screws and tabs that attach it. Remove the wire harness attached to the transmission. Remove the bolts that secure the motor mount to the transmission and proceed to pull the old transmission out of its place. Install the new transmission and reassemble the other parts. This replacement part is compatible with General Electric, RCA, and Hotpoint brand washers.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer was making a growling grinding noise when sensing the load of laundry   Walter W. • Pasco , WA • October 26, 2014

Used online chat line and spoke with Tech about problem. Tech suggested that a new gearbox was in order.I found a video on U-Tube that showed a Tech repairing this exact unit. That was a big help! I think you guys should make some of these yourself for people like me who can't afford the high prices of having to take it to a repair center. Read more
