This washer drive motor is the main component that powers the spin cycle of the appliance. When a washing machine stops spinning or washing, there could be several issues. If the buttons on the control panel are still responsive, most likely it is the drive motor. There could also be a burning smell coming from the washer when the drive motor malfunctions. Using a voltage meter is the only way to show where the problem lies. Unplug the washer and turn off the water supply before starting repairs. Drain all the water from the drain hose into a bucket. Remove the two screws at the base of the front panel, then remove the two screws at the top of the back panel. The top console should be removable at this point, and removing the two screws at the bottom outside corners of the back panel should allow the base to be separated. There are two metal clips attaching the pump to the motor. Unplug the connections from the motor and capacitor. Unscrew the two screws that fasten the motor in, and it should slide out. Reverse these instructions for installation of the new component. This Whirlpool washer drive motor is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from Whirlpool. There are no other parts included with this listing. This part is compatible with Whirlpool and Kenmore appliances.

The lid hinge bearing is used for the lid hinges on washers and dryers. When functioning properly, it allows the lid to open and close properly. If this is a problem with the bearing, it could make the lid difficult to move. In some cases, when the lid will not close, it means that the machine will not function correctly. Damaged lid hinge bearings should be replaced as soon as possible. The lid hinge bearings see a lot of work since they are in use whenever the lid of the washer or dryer opens and closes. They could become cracked and broken over time. Replacing the bearings is a relatively simple repair that owners can make on their own. This lid hinge bearing is for use with many models of washers and dryers from Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Roper, Estate, Inglis, Maytag, Admiral, Amana, Crosley, and Magic Chef. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that has been sourced from the manufacturer. The piece is sold individually, so if owners need to replace more than one hinge, they will need to buy multiples.
