Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken jet holder   Michael Y. • Hampstead , NC • December 05, 2017

While trying to access and clean brass jet orifices I wrenched the brass nut with chamfer too much (it was seized) and twisted the jet holder to the breaking point and collapsed the main front tubing. I had to hacksaw the rest off. After receiving replacement parts from APPs I was able to reassemble everything in a half hour or so. I lifted the unit countertop height and bridged my cutout with a couple of 2x4's to set it on. From there it was outside trim removal (about 20 screws) then you... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Two spark ignitor switches were faulty had to remove all 5 burners to get to the switch   Martin B. • Silver Spring , MD • December 27, 2015

I repaired a GE monogram 36” gas cooktop.ZGU375NDS1SS My problem was the sparking that wouldn’t shut off, so I needed to replace two ignitor switches, (GE part number WB24X10091 and WB24X10092. The switches are under the gas valve and you have to take all the burners apart to get to the pieces. Do the job in this order: Remove the knobs and the gray rubber circles below them. Save them, they are dirt guards to keep food out of your switches. Remove the phillips head screws under the knobs. Two... Read more

Genuine Ge part
By: Ge

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No spark at any burner   Juan Carlos E. • Charlotte , NC • January 26, 2019

I checked the transformer and did not get outlet voltage. The big problem was to release the cooktop cover. The central jet holder broke and was almost impossible to release the cover. In the process was necessary to damage the main tube, the long range nut with chamfer, and the nut. After that I ordered all the pieces to IPS parts because there were 30% cheaper than partspro. IPS people keep saying to me after a lot of arguments that the order will be delivered the next week. After one and a... Read more

Indicator Light
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB25X10009

The Indicator Light is an OEM part for GE ranges. This part signals when an element on the range is turned on, providing a safety feature to prevent accidental burns or other hazards. The indicator light's visibility helps in ensuring that users are aware of active, hot elements on the range, reinforcing kitchen safety.

Over time, the indicator light may fail due to a burnt-out bulb, wiring issues, or damage to the light's housing. Regular wear and tear or accidental damage can also contribute to its malfunction.

Symptoms of a bad range indicator light include:

  • The light fails to illuminate when an element is turned on.
  • Flickering or intermittent operation.
  • No visible indicator despite the element being hot.

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
