The "power boil" heating element stopped working and needed to be replaced Karl S. • Oxford , MI • April 05, 2015
I ordered the 8 inch Haliant Element from Appliance Parts Pro with overnight shipping (I needed to have it working for Easter weekend!) and it arrived when promised and in perfect condition!
To replace, you need a couple of boards longer than the stove is wide to hold the stove above the counter. You will also need a T15 Torx head on a handle or socket wrench. It also helps to have some pliers, and a second person to slip the boards under and out from the stove when you lift it.
First, shut...

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 318601604
The Bake Element is an OEM component for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is an integrated heating coil that generates heat through electric resistance when powered. Located near the bottom of the oven cavity, the bake element facilitates heating for various cooking functions like baking, roasting, or warming. This element measures approximately 13 x 11 inches.
Symptoms of a bad bake element include:
- Oven failing to reach or maintain desired cooking temperatures
- Bake cycles taking excessively long periods of time
- Hot or cold spots developing inside oven cavities
- Error codes appearing related to upper heating issues
Causes can be cracks in ceramic sheathing allowing arcing, or mineral deposits coating coils over extended use impeding heat transfer.
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Top oven was not coming up to temp properly William W. • Centerville , MA • January 10, 2019
First, I took an ohm reading across the elements and determined the bad one, which was failed, open circuit. (Zero continuity) I then replaced the lower heating element of the upper oven. Although the design of the oven and element make it appear that it will just drop down and slide out the front, this is not quite the case. There is not enough clearance for it to drop all the way down. You have to pull the entire double-oven unit out of the wall, separate the upper and lower halves a few...

The old element had burned out like a 4th of July sparkler Joseph G. • Loveland , CO • March 12, 2014
1) ordered new boiler element after searching for oven/stove model # online
2) unplugged oven
3) removed 2 screws holding element in place
4) pulled out the element and a length of wires attached to the element (enough that the wires wouldn't pull back into the hole after detached)
5) used needle-nosed pliers to detach wire clamps, noting which wire attached to which side of the old element
6) removed old element and its pieces from the bottom of oven
7) attached wires to new element,...

Timer would not advance past the cool down cycle as a result dryer would not shut off unless you manually advanced the time dial or opened the dryer door David F. • Carmel , IN • October 14, 2018
Replaced the timer - This should have been a VERY easy repair however, there is a clip (holding the timer to panel) on the bottom of timer than must be removed with a pair of pliers. There is absolutely NO room to access this clip so I had to take apart much of the dryer to gain access. What should have been a 15 minute repair turned into a frustrating hour.
