3. Using the nut driver, remove the two kick-plate screws and lay the kick-plate aside.
4. Discard the broken spring.
5, Look at the remaining spring to determine where the spring should hook.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Washer easily got out of balance and begun to make a loud noise and move the washer Michael S. • Bellbrook , OH • September 01, 2015
I researched the problem and found that normal wear and tear will cause the Damper shocks and the Suspension spring to fail. I decided to replace all Damper Shocks and the suspension Springs since I had the washer apart already.
The Suspension Spring requires a lot of pull to get it in place correctly. I made a hook tool (from political yard sign frame) to hook the old spring to remove and pull the new spring up. It helps to have a second person use leverage (use a short 2x2 board) under the...

Reduces drum vibration during spin cycles. Replace if washer shakes excessively or drum moves too much. Mounts between drum and base. Sold individually.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Internal drum was moving too much under slightly heavy loads the drum housing would occasionally make a banging noise James R. • Rancho Santa Margarita , CA • June 13, 2015
Replaced all 4 shocks, and 2 suspension springs. The overall fix was easy for the shocks which only require a quarter turn with a cresent wrench to replace. The suspension springs are more difficult because the bottom of the washer drum must be supported due to the substantial weight. I used a car jack to support the drum from the bottom and a long bunge wrapped around the main drive pulley. I.would not have been able to do this as a one person without it. While replacing the suspension parts,...

It would shut off mid cycle and stop drying heat and drum worked fine. Michelle M. • Erlanger , KY • June 27, 2021
I noticed if I caught it early enough the light inside would be on. I googled it and found that it could be the door latch slipping and letting the door open, which would stop the dryer. I watched the video on Appliance Parts Pros and it was so simple. I ordered a new door latch and catch and fixed it in 2 minutes! Thank you so much!
