Abram D Shrewsbury , MA April 07, 2015 Broken door spring Removed screws from sides pieces into the cabinets, then pulled out washer several inches. Found one of the springs had stretched and the door cable had broken at the hook. Replaced both items and pushed washer back in. It was a little tricky to get washer back into the same position. Found that the water connection was rigid copper pipe and now was leaking at the fitting into the washer. Turned off water, removed kick plate, removed nut at flare joint and retightened. Last steps were difficult because there is very little room to loosen and tighten the fittings under the washer. Read More... Bob G New Lodon , CT February 10, 2024 Dishwasher door dropped to the floor anytime it was opened! I started by watching the AppliancePartsPros.com video for my dishwasher and determined the most likely problem was a broken door cable or plastic connector. I ordered the parts and when they arrived I pulled the dishwasher out after securing the inlet water and power. Well, what I found was a broken door balance spring ... who would have thought. Thanks to the AppliancePartsPros.com staff I ordered the correct springs. Only took a couple of days for the parts to arrive and less than a half hour to replace both springs. While I was at it, I replaced the two ropes with plastic connectors as well. Simple job thanks to the AppliancePartsPros.com video and helpful staff. Read More...
