It is difficult (if not impossible) to remove the electronic switches from the hard
plastic latches. I replaced all three switches and both the upper and lower latches I also replaced the main 20 amp ceramic fuse which blew out when the latch/switches failed.

1) I installed 4 ea new Whirlpool 700855K switches. (The old switches had INF-240P-871 stamped on them. 700855K was the cross-referenced P/N.)

Found the model # on a plate mounted behind the top of the range. Really handy since it hinged up and did not need to pull the range out of it's place.
Removed the bulb in the oven by first removing a glass globe by hand, rotating counter-clockwise. Same with the bulb. Replace the bulb and globe and good to go.
The knob was super easy. Pull straight back to remove it. Line up the opening on the new knob with the rod on the range and push the knob on. Done.

While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. I am now in the process of cleaning the remaining 4 burners just to be sure.
