Washer would not fill to the proper level sometimes it would fill agitate a few times turn the pump on and drain a little then fill again sometimes it would pause or a cycle might take all day Andrew K. • Eaton , OH • February 10, 2015
I replaced the water lever/electric pressure switch. Immediately the washer ran like a new machine. No problems pausing or stopping to add water and draining as before. This repair is very simple and takes less than 10 min. All you have to do is remove two phillips screws on the panel just below all the controls. Once removed the pressure switch is on the left side with a clear rubber tube attached with a spring clip. Simply squeeze the clip together with some pliers and slide it down then...

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Neptune mah4000 had a no spin but did pump water out but not all of it Guillermo S. • Chicago , IL • March 06, 2017
I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart.

No spark at burners Brandon C. • Brooklyn , NY • January 14, 2017
I installed two burner ignitions under the knobs then installed a new spark module, which I had to order from a different vendor as this is a 20+ year old Caloric stove. Fortunately this spark module is used in many other appliances.

This burner switch controls the power and heat settings for a surface cooking element, restoring reliable on/off operation, accurate temperature selection, and consistent element cycling on compatible electric ranges. What it does
- Regulates electrical power to a surface burner so the element heats to selected settings and cycles to maintain temperature.
- Replaces a worn or failed switch that causes a burner to not heat, not respond to knob changes, or only work on certain settings.
- Stops intermittent operation or arcing at the switch caused by worn contacts.
- Helps resolve a burner that stays on or will not turn on when the switch is faulty.
What's included One burner switch. Install notes
- Always disconnect power at the breaker before starting any repair to avoid shock.
- Photograph and/or label wires before removal so you can reconnect terminals correctly.
- Handle terminals gently and ensure secure, tight connections; replace any damaged wiring or connectors.
- Test the range on all heat settings after installation; if you see arcing, burning smell, or continued malfunction, cut power.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
When turning the burner off the ignitor would continue to spark and some burners would not ignite. Andrew M. • Valley City , OH • June 02, 2020
I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. Then I replaced the spark module since the flame and the burner being turned off were not being detected and burners would not re-light if the flame went out.

Broken fan switch Darrell Q. • Leesburg , VA • May 09, 2016
This replacement part looks nothing like the original because the original is two parts, the replacement is one part. The original has a switch with 3 wires coming out of it that go into a "block" screwed to the bottom tray. And this "block" has 2 wires that come out of it going to the fan. With the replacement, the block is eliminated and the 2 wires go directly to the switch. Easy install.

This micro switch detects door or lid position and tells the appliance when the door is closed so cycles can start or safety interlocks stay engaged. It restores reliable door sensing and helps prevent operation with the door open. What it does:
- Acts as a position sensor that completes or breaks the control circuit when the door/lid is closed or opened
- Keeps the appliance from starting or continuing a cycle if the door is open (safety interlock)
- Common symptom fix: appliance won't start, stops mid-cycle, or shows door-related error codes
- Small electrical switch designed to mount at the door latch or frame and connect to the appliance wiring harness
What's included: One micro switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power (unplug or shut off breaker) before attempting service
- Access may require removing panels, trim, or the door latch assembly; keep track of screws and fasteners
