The knobs and knob skirt were old and discolored Albert M. • Casper , WY • July 25, 2016
Simple. Just pulled out the old and popped in the new. Rangetop looks much better, though grates and burner rings (no longer available) could use repainting with heat resistant enamel or some other treatment.

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00184590
The Push Button is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch dishwashers. Installed on the control panel, its durable silicone-coated switch reliably operates cycles. Smooth travel withstands repeated use while maintaining tactile feedback.
Causes of push-button failure commonly involve contact degradation from steam exposure. Cracks in the silicone introduce debris requiring periodic replacement.
Causes of a bad push button can involve:
- Unresponsive or stuck on cycles
- Flashing error codes without cause
- Difficulty changing selected options
Symptoms of a faulty push button include intermittent operations as the controller struggles to interpret signals. Replacement ensures trouble-free functionality.
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with some Thermador, Blomberg, and Miele dishwashers. Replace to retain convenient cycle selection through heavy usage over the appliance's lifetime.

This replacement switch restores reliable on/off signaling to the circuit it controls, helping your appliance start, stop, and respond correctly. A worn switch can cause intermittent operation, no response, or lights and functions that don't activate. What it does:
- Provides an electrical open/closed signal to enable functions like starting a cycle, powering a motor or light, or shutting a feature off
- Acts as a safety/position interlock (such as door, lid, float, or hood) depending on the model
- Typical symptoms include won't start, won't stop, light won't turn on/off, or intermittent operation
- Can be checked with a multimeter for continuity when actuated
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; turn off gas or water supply if applicable
- Access the switch, note wire locations, and transfer leads one at a time to the new switch
- Mount securely, ensure the actuator aligns and wires aren't pinched
- Reassemble and test operation before finalizing

1 burner was not igniting the sparker on a low end 20 year old GE stove. Benjamin F. • Villa Park , IL • January 09, 2022
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used.
At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. When the U is right side up, the gas is off and so should the igniter. The gas valve shaft position couldn't be changed, so instead, I re-mounted the...

Gas burner valve was stuck and was not able to turn it off with the knob (broke the knob in the process) Mike K. • Snohomish , WA • August 12, 2019
What you will need:
* replacement parts
* small and regular Phillips screwdrivers
* small wrench
* soapy water in a spray bottle or leak detection spray
Take apart the top of the stove control unit
1) turn off the gas to the stove, in my case I cannot get to the shutoff valve easily so I ended up turning off the electricity to the stove at the fuse box as that forces an emergency shutdown of the gas supply internally of the stove.
2) remove all 5 knobs, the grates at the top and open the oven...

Part Number: WB24T10147
This high-amp SPDT switch routes power between circuits in cooking appliances to control items such as locks, element relays, or fans. Replacing a worn switch restores dependable operation and helps eliminate intermittent on/off issues. What it does:
- Single-pole, double-throw action directs power between NO/NC circuits based on actuator position
- Used to signal or control a component per the model's design (e.g., latch/lock, relay, fan)
- Failure symptoms can include no activation, stuck-on/off behavior, intermittent operation, or heat-damaged terminals
- Electrical tests may show incorrect continuity between COM–NO/NC when pressed or released
What's included:
- Includes: 1 SPDT high-amp switch
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
- Label or photograph wiring; move leads to matching COM/NO/NC terminals on the new switch
- Mount with the correct actuator orientation and secure any bracket or screws
- Inspect connectors for heat damage; ensure tight spade fits, restore power, and test operation

Faulty self cleaning latch Gregory K. • Bel Air , MD • December 28, 2016
Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough.
Overall easy repair if you have a T15 Torx bit, phillips screwdriver, and 1/4" nut driver. Hardest part is removing the gas cooktop to gain access to the cleaning latch. 0. Turn off electric to stove; remove the cast iron grates, center caps/orifices, and catch pans from the stovetop. 1. Disconnect the...
