Microwave Fuse
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304509451

Microwave won't start or is completely dead? This fuse protects against electrical overload. Requires disassembly to access. Often replace with switches.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The frigidaire microwave would blow fuses on a regular basis   Loren A. • Windsor , WI • November 28, 2020

After doing some research the problem appeared to be the door safety switches. I ordered 3 new ones to replace all the original ones. Some minor disassembly of the microwave front was required to reach the fuse and switches. To reach the switches the control panel wires needed to be unplugged and the panel removed. After doing that replacing the switches was pretty strait forward. As of this comment the microwave has worked for 5 days without blowing the fuse so far. This has probably fixed the... Read more

Oven Thermal Fuse
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB24T10060

Oven won't heat or shuts off during baking? A faulty thermal fuse cuts power when detecting excessive heat. This safety device protects your range.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE profile in wall oven gave F 9 code and would shut off after 30 minutes   Matthew M. • Fairfield , CA • July 23, 2018

The F9 error code is supposed to indicate that the door lock mechanism has failed. My oven would give the F9 code and turn off during normal baking at 400 F after about 30-40 minutes. It turns out that GE must have programmed the error codes incorrectly in my model, because the real problem was that my control board cooling fan was no longer functional, and one of the two thermal switches was shutting off the unit when the control board area got too hot. Time Delay Fuse
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 3B74133Q

The Time Delay Fuse is an OEM part for LG microwaves. This fuse provides a safety mechanism by delaying the flow of electricity, protecting the microwave's electrical components from power surges and ensuring the appliance operates safely. It helps to prevent immediate damage in the event of a power surge or electrical fault, thus prolonging the lifespan of the microwave.

Over time, the time delay fuse can become damaged due to electrical surges, wear and tear, or faulty connections. If the fuse blows, it can disrupt the microwave’s ability to function correctly.

Symptoms of a bad time delay fuse include:

  • The microwave not turning on
  • No response from the microwave control panel
  • The microwave stopping unexpectedly during operation
  • Electrical issues or blown circuits in the microwave

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

This part fixes the following symptoms

Dryer Thermal Cut-Off Fuse
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP8573713

Dryer won't heat? A failed thermal cut-off fuse cuts power when temps spike. DIYers replace this safety part in 20-30 minutes with basic tools.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My maytag gas dryer would start and the the tumbler rotate but the igniter would not glow and flame not start   .gil P. • Enumclaw , WA • March 29, 2015

The 2 sensors that sit on top of the flame tube work together. The Thrmst F should check closed, as should the Cutoff-TML, in order for power to flow to the ignitor. If the Cutoff is open, it is usually because the Thrmst-F did not open soon enough. The Thermst-F will cycle, closed to open, and repeat, however the Cutoff-HTML is a one time switch. If it opens it will not return to closed, and subsequently the ignitor will not glow. Some professionals say that if one of these sensors fail, both... Read more

When starting my dryer the motor would power up and rotoe the drum and blower. Afetr about 20-30 seconds the igniter would come on then the gas valve would open and I would get heat for about 6 or 7 seconds then it would shut off. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F2 e3 error code on front load duet washer   Mark M. • Saratoga Springs , NY • September 16, 2016

Replace the water temperature sensor and still had the error code. While I had the back of the machine open I ran the washer. I traced the black wires from the temperature sensor and wiggled them as the washer was running. At one zip tie every time i moved the wires the washer would stop running and the error code would flash. Sure enough, like many others posted, the vibration from the machine had split the wire. I spiced the wire back together and have not had a problem since. Read more

Dryer Thermal Limiter
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 137539200

Dryer won't heat or shows E66 error? The thermal limiter prevents overheating by monitoring airflow. Moderate DIY repair, requires rear panel access.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You E66 error code. Door open came on and dryer would not turn on at all other than display of error.   Bruce H. • South Elgin , IL • March 15, 2014

I actually found a post from another brave soul who was willing to try to fix his, and had stated when he put the new limiter switch in, it fixed the problem. Since the whole back of the dryer needs to come off to get to the burner, and the limiter switch is inexpensive it seemed like common sense to take this approach first. After all, you don't put a new engine in your car if all it needs is a new battery! I also found posts that an overheating event could fry the main control board, and... Read more
