The original controller shorted out I accessed the controller from the side vent-panel on our chest freezer, simply unplugged the old controller and plugged in the new controller. It was pretty straight forward, but the new control was up side down from the one I replaced (burned up). The two wires were opposite from the original wires. I realized this after the first install. Rudy D Chapin , SC May 26, 2016 No freezing or cooling The job is completed and my wife is happy that our garage refrig is back in service. the original part had a longer post where the capacitor was mounted than the replacement part . was able to cut the extended post off the original and super glue it onto the new part post. it worked out great. the instructions for connecting the new wiring plug to the refrig were excellent except i had to call to verify the connecting the new wires were interchangeable with the existing wires. thank you rudy dipietro Read More...
