First, I bypassed the lid switch to make sure it wasn't the problem. It wasn't, so I ordered a timer and installed it using the appliance parts video and it works great. James M Cherokee Village , AR December 12, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAV6200AWW Machine was requiring physical help to advance cycle settings Ordered a new Timer and after receiving the timer, I replaced it in under 10 Minutes. Tested the unit and it operated correctly 3 times in a row. Now feeling very successful that the Problem Is Solved. Other: I opened the Old Timer to find that 2 different sets of Contacts were shorted out and the Timer Casa was Smoke Damaged inside as well.
